Zaireeka 10th Anniversary DVD

Release Date: October 23, 2007

Label: Warner Bros. Records

The Flaming Lips are Wayne Coyne, Michael Ivins,
and Steven Drozd

This promo was produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Zaireeka album. Various independent record stores across the country received a personalized version of this DVD to hold a Zaireeka listening party. The disc consists of Wayne giving background information for the whole project, as well as introductions and countdowns to each song. There are also new musical parts added to each track, syncing up with the original versions. The physical discs of this promo bear the number 10, in the style of the numbered 1-4 discs of the original release, a reference to its 10th anniversary and Wayne's original intention to have it consist of 10 discs. Since its release, it has leaked onto the internet.

Album Notes
Grab 5 Systems and some friends and throw a party with a virtual Wayne counting off the tracks! You need 1 Audio/Visual System that can play this Video DVD and 4 Audio Systems for the 4 original CDs. This is not a 5.1 mix of the album, that misses the point of true multiple sound sources.

To being playing the DVD, hit the "down" button 10 times from the menu.
