Satellite Of You
Wayne's Notes from the Album:
"Heard here in one of the many forms it has taken (we've remixed it a bunch) ...There were moments during these recording sessions where we would joke about how we sounded (loosely speaking) like a mash-up of Frank Sinatra meets Led Zeppelin. And coincidentally there was a commercial on MTV that was making fun of how stupid music could be... it said something like "who wants to listen to a mixture of Frank Sinatra and Led Zeppelin" ...I remember me and Steven saying... FUCK!! We do!!!"
"Satellite Of You" was a Soft Bulletin outtake. Wayne and Steven in particular were not fond of the song, leaving it off the album. It found initial release on The Soft Bulletin Companion promo.

Hail to the Earth
O companion the moon
It orbits so faithfully
It's a satellite true
If you'll be the Earth
I'll be your moon
As long as you want me to
A satellite true
It's obvious it's you
I keep in my view
It's a logical gravity (gravity)
That pulls me to you (to you)
The sun was made to shine
All around you
If a little bit comes my way
It's the least I can do
'Cause you're the Earth
And I'm just the moon
It orbits so faithfully
A satellite true
It orbits so faithfully (faithfully)
A satellite of you
O companion the moon
It orbits so faithfully
It's a satellite true
I'll be your moon
As long as you want me to
A satellite true
I keep in my view
It's a logical gravity (gravity)

A satellite of you
